The National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (NAFC) unites more than 1,400 grassroots health providers across the U.S. dedicated to bridging gaps for uninsured and under-insured individuals in need of essential care. Founded in 2001, NAFC empowers clinic and pharmacy networks—often relying on volunteers—to deliver quality medical, dental, vision, pharmacy and behavioral health services. At its heart, the association champions dignity, equity and collaboration so that every person, regardless of income or background, can access affordable healthcare.

Best Friends Animal Society is a national leader in the no kill movement, working to end the euthanasia of cats and dogs in shelters through community programs, partnerships, and the country’s largest sanctuary for homeless animals. Their mission is to bring about a time when there are No More Homeless Pets by supporting adoption, spay and neuter services, and local collaborations that help animals get the safe, loving homes they deserve.

Pets Healing Vets: Who Rescued Whom An estimated 22 veterans commit suicide each day while approximately 2.7 million animals are euthanized in shelters every year. These alarming statistics prompted us to make it our mission to improve the emotional well-being of Hoosier veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) by pairing them with carefully selected shelter animals in need of homes. Ours is the only program of its kind in the state of Indiana that removes a barrier to companion pet ownership many veterans find themselves challenged with — COST.

Phoenix Rescue Mission delivers Christ-centered, life-transforming help to people facing hunger, homelessness, addiction and trauma in the Phoenix Valley. Through emergency food and shelter, addiction recovery programs, outreach to families and children, and vocational and support services, they walk alongside those in crisis and support real change.
